How can early childhood staff support migrant families and children? Join us as we explore best practices in addressing the social-emotional and language needs of this student population, and share resources and strategies for engaging newcomer families. Participants will explore reasons for over-and under-identification of dually-identified learners, identify ways to break down linguistic and cultural barriers and create an action plan to strengthen instructional practices through a trauma-informed lens. Participants must attend both sessions to receive credit.
